Densitron has spent 50+ years at the forefront of display technology — today its ProDeck control surfaces (NAB 2025 Best of Show) and IDS platform put programmable buttons, touchscreens and rack displays at the heart of control rooms at BBC, CBS, CNN and NBC, speaking to 1,000+ devices from any manufacturer.
Densitron was founded in Japan over 50 years ago as a pioneer in advanced display technologies. What began as a focus on crystal-clear visualisation evolved into a mission to redefine how humans interact with machines — through touch, tactile, haptic and intelligent control systems. Today Densitron is part of the Nexteq Group with offices across the USA, Asia and Europe, designing and manufacturing everything from industrial TFT displays and OLED panels to the ProDeck broadcast control surfaces and IDS universal control software used by the world’s leading broadcasters.
Available across MENA and Türkiye through MediaCast — authorised partner, full range in stock, live demos at MCX Dubai.
The ProDeck series are compact, PoE+-powered desktop control surfaces combining high-definition programmable buttons or touchscreen configurations with onboard processing. The ProDeck 24 — winner of the NAB 2025 Best of Show award — integrates a high-definition touchscreen with 24 programmable physical buttons in a single desktop unit. Fully compatible with Densitron IDS software and Bitfocus Companion for 1000+ device control — no external encoder, no converter, no additional hardware. Connect to any NDI-capable network switch and the camera is immediately discoverable by every device on that network. NDI|HX3 certification is carried across multiple series, delivering low-latency, visually lossless video with H.264 and H.265 compression options.
The IDS (Intelligent Display System) platform ties the hardware together — a software layer that drives programmable buttons, touchscreens and rack displays from a single configuration, with integrations for the major broadcast control systems. A BYOS option lets facilities run IDS on ProDeck hardware, and the ODM+ programme covers fully custom display and control builds.
Densitron ProDeck and IDS solutions are deployed at major broadcast networks worldwide including BBC, CBS, CNN, NBC and YouTube. In MENA and Türkiye, MediaCast holds the full Densitron range in stock in Dubai, with Lawrence available for pre-sales consultancy, IDS demonstrations and system design at MCX — MediaCast Experience Center in Barsha Heights.

Compact 2RU rackmount control surface with 18 large high-definition keys and PoE connectivity. Used at major broadcasters worldwide including BBC and CNN as part of IDS-driven control installations. The standard rack panel for broadcast facilities requiring a compact, reliable and visually clear control surface integrated into their equipment infrastructure. Shown at NAB 2025 running IDS software.
IDS is Densitron’s universal control software that unifies multiple devices and complex broadcast workflows into a single, intuitive operator interface. IDS runs on any ProDeck hardware or UReady panel and integrates with virtually any broadcast device through its open API. Bitfocus Companion compatibility extends IDS to 1000+ additional devices and software platforms.
IDS unifies cameras, audio consoles, lighting, video routing, signage and display control into a single operator interface running on any Densitron hardware. The open API architecture enables integration with virtually any broadcast device from any manufacturer — no proprietary protocols, no vendor lock-in. Via Bitfocus Companion, IDS sends commands over OSC, TCP, UDP, HTTP, WebSocket and ArtNet to over 1000 devices and software platforms. Used at the world’s most watched broadcast networks.
ProDeck is software-agnostic — operators can run their preferred third-party software on ProDeck hardware (Bring Your Own Software), or use Densitron IDS for a fully integrated control experience. This means ProDeck hardware is compatible with any existing broadcast software investment. Studios migrating from one control platform to another can transition gradually without replacing hardware.
Densitron’s ODM+ (Outsourced Design and Manufacturing Plus) programme enables manufacturers and system integrators to develop custom HMI products using Densitron’s display, touch, button and control surface expertise. From a single custom display panel to a complete control surface built to a customer’s exact specification.
Densitron’s ODM+ programme takes customers from concept to manufactured product using Densitron’s engineering capabilities, display supply chain and manufacturing infrastructure. Custom display panels, custom button matrices, custom haptic interfaces and complete custom control surfaces for broadcast, medical, industrial and defence customers who require hardware built specifically for their application.
Densitron supplies advanced display and HMI solutions to medical device manufacturers, defence contractors, industrial automation companies and test and measurement equipment builders. These environments demand the same engineering rigour Densitron applies to broadcast — long product life cycles, extreme environment ratings, regulatory compliance and custom optical bonding. Densitron’s non-broadcast verticals account for a significant part of their global business.
50 years of display engineering brought to broadcast control. Six reasons why the world’s most-watched broadcast networks choose Densitron.
The ProDeck 24 was awarded TVBEurope Best of Show at NAB Show 2025 — recognised by a panel of broadcast industry experts and editors for its integration, usability and market uniqueness. The only control surface to win this recognition in its debut year.
IDS is the control platform trusted by the world’s most watched broadcast networks. Its open API, Bitfocus Companion integration and ability to control 1000+ devices from one interface makes it the standard for large-scale broadcast control room modernisation.
Densitron’s 50 years of display manufacturing expertise goes into every ProDeck and UReady button. No visual distortion, no parallax off-axis, no colour drift. Real-time video thumbnails on every key. The display quality advantage that sets Densitron hardware apart from competing control surfaces.
ProDeck and UReady panels run any software — IDS, Bitfocus Companion, or the operator’s existing broadcast software. No forced migration. No platform lock-in. Facilities can replace ageing control hardware while keeping their existing software investments intact.
Every ProDeck and most UReady panels are powered via PoE+ — a single standard Ethernet cable delivers both power and control connectivity. No power supplies. No extra cables on the operator desk. Clean, minimal installations in broadcast control rooms and OB trucks.
DensiSDK™ and JogDial™ technology enables programmable haptic feedback in Densitron’s control surfaces — physical confirmation that a button press was registered, even in loud OB environments where auditory feedback is masked. The tactile advantage in fast-paced live production.
