About Digital Rapids
Digital Rapids' focus is on the convergence of traditional broadcast technology and the generalized processing and network capabilities found in many of today's leading edge computers. Digital Rapids' owners and company directors have been in the broadcast and professional video marketplace for over 15 years. Prior to forming Digital Rapids many of them were directly involved in the start-up and success of Digital Processing Systems, a $60 million company, and before that they were part of Scientific Atlantic.
Digital Rapids' President, Brick Eksten, has held key management positions at several companies including Chief Technology Officer of MGI software, Director of MGI's E-imaging, as well as, Director of Technology at Digital Processing Systems. At DPS he was directly involved with concept and development of a line of studio and post production products that won numerous awards including an Emmy Award for pioneering work on digital video recording. His achievements include the co-development of the first full motion PC based video playback and recording systems (1983) and the first PC based full motion video special effects systems |
